What we learned building course labs with Kubernetes
Abstract:
Kubernetes is everywhere and can be used in many different ways. Because AT Computing delivers training courses, we thought Kubernetes could be a nice platform to deploy hands-on labs, containerized labs on. The first tests where promising, but as always it soon became more challenging. This talk takes you along our K8s journey and will show the good, the bad and the ugly.
Speaker:
Marcel Kornegoor obtained his Master of Arts degree in Sound and Music Technology back in 2008. He has been a (huge) nerd for most of his life, but will probably deny it when confronted. As director of training at the Dutch open source and Linux specialist AT Computing he has been deeply involved in the development of the Kubernetes based labs.
Michael Trip started with Linux when he was 9 years old. After working for several MSP’s, and thus working with Windows, he was sick and tired of clickops. He changed jobs and devoted his professional work to solely Linux. He is now working as a consultant at AT Computing and is mainly focussed on Kubernetes, containerisation of applications and GitOps.
